Whey Protein 80 (WPC-80)

WPC-80 is one of the highest grades of whey protein concentrate available. WPC-80 is a premium ultra-filtered protein with an exceptionally high biological value. Research has shown that when one is looking to speed up recovery from exercise, whey protein reigns supreme, in part due to being abundant in branch chain amino acids. In addition to enhancing muscle recovery, whey protein also appears to positively affect weight management, immune health, cardiovascular health and Osteoporosis.

Organic Whole Oat Powder

When it comes to a slower digesting, fiber rich source of carbohydrates to fuel the body's daily adventures, look no further than organic whole oat powder. In addition to being rich in beta-glucan, a specific type of fiber which is associated with decreased blood pressure and LDL cholesterol levels, organic whole oat powder also contains avenanthramide; a compound found only in oats which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits. Add this to the positive effects oats have on blood glucose levels, and one can easily see why it's often considered the "king of the grains."

Naturally Occurring Resistant Starches

One is only as healthy as their gut. This makes sense as it is the body's largest immune organ. Emerging research indicates that the gut microbiome, which consists of the bacteria and "environment" present within the large intestines, plays a significant role in optimizing one's overall health. However, in order to have a thriving gut microbiome, one needs to be feeding it the "right stuff." This is where resistant starches come in to play.

In contrast to regular starches, which are absorbed in the small intestine, resistant starches avoid breakdown and travel to the large intestines where they serve as food (ie – prebiotics) for bacteria present within the gut. However, despite the fact that resistant starches act as fibers, they are often not represented in the fiber content on food labels. Recent research indicates that ~25% of all the starch present within raw oats is resistance starch.

Once metabolized, resistant starches are converted to short chain fatty acids, absorbed by the body and exert positive effects on the cells lining the large intestines and potentially blood lipid levels. Additionally, relative to regular starches, resistant starches are also beneficial for individuals looking to lower the glycemic and insulin response of their meals.

Added Prebiotics

To further boost the health benefits of Oats & Whey, Dietetic Advantage has added inulin, a prebiotic fiber which has been shown to increase concentrations of bifidobacteria, a specific type of bacteria which plays a critical role in overall gut health.

All Natural Colors, Flavors, & Sweeteners

As with all of Dietetic Advantage's products, Oats & Whey contains all-natural flavors and sweeteners with no added color. The vanilla cream flavor is great by itself, or can be stacked with our MI-6 product for an added boost.
